EMERGENCY SERVICES SLOW I HAVE SHOWN UP 2 time at night and daytime for my 2 year old daughter and they haven't checked her out at all waiting in the waiting room with no people just us and we were waiting for 2 hours. This is ridiculous. Where are the Doctors at??? By daughter now has to wait for appointment at Family practice to get her eye checked to seee if she not blind in one eye.
This hospital is a joke... Couldn't even get my kids name right, after I told them twice and even spelled it for them.. because of this, my 7 year old son who was running a 102.7 fever WITH ibuprofen in his system, couldnt get medicine until they fixed the issue with his name... Ended up waiting over an hour for a room and medicine.. The place seems empty..
Went to the ER around 12:30pm. I have been extremely sick and was having pressure in my chest. They did an ekg right away, which was normal, and sent me back out to the waiting room. Maybe two hours or so later they finally took me to see a doctor. They put me in a bed in the hall in a corner.
I don’t even want to give this hospital a one star cause they don’t even deserve that! They are always busy and have people out in the hallways trying checked! My brother was just in tonight for a stroke that caused half of his face paralyzed! That was at 5:25pm they had him wait until 6:57 to get into a room! I called and asked why and they said it’s in order of severity.. I said “so a stroke is not a severity! And she said I’m not a doctor.. smh they need upgrades beyond belief!
Every time I come here I wait more than 8 hours. It took 11 hours to get a piece of popcorn out of my ear when I was young and its taking 5 hours just to get a Dr note right now.
Hours later I finally got to see the doctor again as she was heading out. The second doctor didn't seem as concerned, but gave me some info and finally sent me home. I was there for over 9.5 hours and still don't know what is making me sick.
The staff seem to be good, I just think they need a lot more people. I've never been in and out of that ER in less than six hours. I was in and out of Lancaster General Health's ER in three. Horrible experience every time I go to Good Sam! Be prepared to spend the entire day there!
After maybe another two hours the doctor finally came by and asked about my chest pain, which had long since stopped. I told her about my illness, which no one has been able to figure out yet. She ordered a bunch of blood tests, CT scan, and chest x-rays. The nurses were struggling to find a good vein because of all the blood work I've had done recently, and it didn't help that at least two patients went past on beds right at that time.
