3: My dental insurance covers full x-rays every 5 years. I just had full x-rays done at a previous dentist 2 or 3 years ago. This info was given to Aspen before my visit. Aspen, knowing my insurance would NOT cover the x-rays, still did full x-rays on me without asking me if that was ok. I received a bill after the appointment for over $100 for something that did NOT need to be done.
All that to say, I will not be going back to Aspen in the future. I was not impressed by their service or the courteousness of their staff.
I would not recommend Aspen Dental to anyone that I know for the following reasons.
Dr Pham is Awesome! She has a comforting way about her, she’s very in tune to your feelings, she has a great sense of humor & does a great job she’s understanding & very kind! I would & have recommended her to others already!
THIS place is absolutely rediculous. I so regret stepping in there. PLEASE ! PLEASE ! Ask many questions , they don’t care about you, they are just looking for their own interest. The day I showed up for my wisdom teeth extraction the nurse assisting the oral surgent was speaking extremely fast and if I had a question he’d ignore it and keep talking. The surgent sat in her chair and didn’t even acknowledge my husband and I. Somehow I heard the nurse mention something that triggered me to tell them “I’m only having 2 wisdom teeth extracted” to which he said “oh let me scratch that off.” Turns out they were going to extract all 4 without my knowledge. Than I got home and noticed they also billed me for 4 wisdom teeth extractions. I heard many things about this place but due to me wanting to see it for myself I am now suffering the consequences of their terrible service , miscommunication and excessive billing . Please be careful and ask questions ! In fact refrain from this terrible place ! If I had known better I would have too .
It was a different experience than what I'm used to. Being a first time patient there I thought it would be a long visit it's wasn't. I first sat in the waiting room for longer than expected, my appointment was at noon and I wasn't taken back till almost 1. The staff was nice and I got a complete x ray of my mouth. I was then taken back to an exam room where I was told I wasn't even getting a cleaning today, they weren't doing anything to my teeth at all. When the dentist came in she explained some other things that needed done then told me to wait in the room for the office manager. She came in and walked me out to check out where she processed to tell me how much my procedures would be. She was kind of pushy as to when I would schedule my next appointment to get the stuff done. I said I had to talk to my husband about it, and left. So I wasted almost 2 hours of my day for them to do nothing to my teeth and try and get me to make an appointment and pay for these big dental procedures. I think I'm going to get a second opinion before booking anything with them.
I can't recommend Aspen for any reason. I've talked with friends who have been there and seen their supposed care plan printouts. Aspen was far too aggressive and costly. Upon further investigation I've seen stories written about their dentists having quotas, and the experiences my friends have had bear full witness to this. Steer clear if you want appropriate treatment and not to be considered a dollar value for a quota milestone!
1: I received and communicated with the office staff multiple times on the phone before my first appointment regarding my insurance. The last time they called me, they assured me that my insurance was approved. When I arrived on the morning of my appointment, they informed me that they didn't have any insurance info for me. I had to reschedule my appointment for another week.
2: Once I was able to be seen for a check-up and cleaning, I found out that they don't do check-ups and cleanings in the same appointment for some reason. My check-up and x-rays took far longer than it should have, plus I was left sitting in the exam room for over 20 minutes and not a single person stopped in to check on me or explain why things were going so slowly that morning.
